No matter how much we try to shield our dyslexic kids, their weak reading or spelling skills will most likely draw the attention of someone who is unaware of learning differences like dyslexia. All of my kids at one point or another, whether it was a sports coach, Sunday School teacher, or co-op leader, were called out and even teased about their dyslexia.
